I have not done anything to my engine except install a True-Rev Sport Induction from Kurtz Kustomz Motorsports. Besides allowing more air to flow, it looks and sounds great. I also got the optional chrome package which ads to the looks.
As you can see from the pictures below, the stock air filter and box assembly was quite restricting.

The True-Rev kit allows much more air to flow, with much less restriction. It is the perfect complement for my new exhaust. The kit came with all the necessary parts, and was very easy to install. I have a link to KKM on my links page
K&N also makes a replacement filter that fits in the stock air box. I contacted the guys at K&N and they said the following: "The 2.0L uses part number 33-2132 and the 2.5L uses 33-2115. Both retail for about $55."
